Faeland

Songs for the spirit, folk-pop with a mystical Celtic edge.
Faeland are a contemporary folk band from Bristol, UK. Fusing deep folk tradition and acoustic instrumentation, Faeland bring their innovative and subtly experimental approach to contemporary music. They have recently recorded and released their debut album ‘All My Swim’ which is receiving support and acclaim from BBC 6 Music, Uncut Magazine, Shire Folk Magazine and a host of others. Their first 2 singles and album have been supported by Tom Robinson and Gideon Coe of BBC 6 Music, BBC Introducing and BBC Scotland, to name a few. The band features some of the South’s finest folk musicians, with singer Rebecca Nelson and guitarist/multi-instrumentalist Jacob Morrison at its songwriting and musical core.  Songs will be performed on an all acoustic line up of violins, lush vocals, banjo, charango, acoustic guitars, double bass, accordion and Celtic harp.

As part of Totnes XX - our very own local festival to celebrate International Womens day 2019 - Faeland will be supported with a special Jamming Station set. As a music venue we strive to put on female or female led acts - no easy feat in a male dominated industry.
